Bikes, Bands, Burgers Bash

Saturday, June 8th (10am-2pm; Apostles parking lot)

Do you enjoy good music, food and fun for the entire family? Do you have an old bike that’s needing a tune up, or perhaps looking for a new-used bike? Are you looking for a way to kick-off the summer season with Hotdogs, Burgers and Good Music? If you said, “Yes” to any of these, then come on out to our Bike, Band and Burger, Bash! 

  Saturday, June 8th from 10:00am to 2:00pm, Church of the Apostles located at 11717 Lee Highway, Fairfax will be hosting an event for the entire family that includes:

1. Bike Clinic-Get your bike tuned up for free, or if you’re looking for a free bike, come out and check out our selection of donated bikes!

2. Live Music-Come enjoy a mix of Classic Rock and Contemporary Christian music!

3. Free Donuts and Coffee from 10:00am to 12noon!

4. Free Hot Dogs and Hamburgers!

5. Games like: Corn Hole!

A Taste of the Nations: Pentecost Party!

Saturday, May 18th (5:30pm; multipurpose room)

After the encouraging turnout for our Christmas caroling party in December — and two weeks before our next Bike, Band, Burger Bash — we are inviting our neighbors to celebrate Pentecost with us right here at the church.

  On Saturday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m., the day before Pentecost Sunday, in the multipurpose room, we are presenting “A Taste of the Nations: International Food and Fun” to celebrate Pentecost, the birthday of the Church. There will be food from many nations, brought in by our neighbors and by folks from our own congregation hailing from different countries, and ice cream sundaes with all the fixings for dessert. There will also be games with an international flavor for the kids; and songs and hymns (including “Amazing Grace”!) in multiple languages.

Come on Saturday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m., to share in this fun international outreach event.
