Universal Communications Submissions

for Feed, Bulletin, and Newsletter items.

Submissions to be posted on either the Feed, the Bulletin, or the Newsletter consist of the following items:

  1. Title
  2. Essential Information
  3. Description
  4. Write-up
  5. Call to action/Contact


1. Title (Required)

The title of your feed post should  be no more than 30-35 characters (check your character count here). Titles that exceed 30-35 characters in length may be subject to shortening.

Examples:

Women’s Morning Bible Study

Kids' Fall Harvest Party

Item Donations For Refugees

2. Essential Information (required for events)

The essential information will appear before your description on all platforms. This keeps people from having to search for the important information when ready the post. It must contain the full date, time, and location. There is no character count limit for this section, but it should not contain anything extra than the below format.

NOTE: The church offices should be referred to as the "Pender Dr. Office & Community Center,"our meeting place at Willow Springs Elementary school should be referred to as the "Willow Springs Worship Location" or "W. Springs Worship Location" (depending on space,) and any other locations should have the location name: street address, and city.

Format:

(Weekday), (Month) (DD), (YYYY), at/from (start time)-(end time)am/pm
At the Pender Dr. Office & Community Center/Willow Springs Worship Location/Other location
(Other information that is needed e.g. registration cost and deadline)

(for youth group)

3. Description (required)

The description is will be paired with the essential information on all platforms. A couple sentences describing what your event is or information is about is perfect. The limit for the description is 250 characters (check your character count here). Bulletin items will be abbreviated, but your description will appear in full on the website and newsletter.

 

 

4. Write-Up (optional)

The write-up is a lengthy post that will appear on the website only (linked to from the newsletter.) This is for those of you who want to provide more in-depth information on your announcement with no length limit.

5. Call to Action/Contact (optional)

The call to action and contact information will be displayed in larger text at the bottom of the feed post. Simply state what the next step people can take in relation to your post, and/or who they can't contact for more information (the church office phone can be referenced if you do not wish to put your personal information on the website.)

NOTE: Not all submissions will be displayed on all communications platforms (newsletter, bulletin, and website). Where submissions are displayed will be decided by the media coordinator based on various factors including privacy, importance, and available space.
