Home Groups

Home Groups are a great way to get connected to the life and ministry of Church of the Apostles. They are home-based centers where members of our church gather to worship Christ, grow in Christ and support one another.

What are Home Groups like?

Home Groups come in all sizes, locations and shared interests. You'll get to meet new people from the church who are committed to giving you a place to belong and build lasting relationships that will encourage you to grow strong in your faith. Most Home Groups have approximately 10 people and study various topics that meet the needs of the members.

How can I find time for a Home Group?

No doubt about it, the Northern Virginia area is a hectic place to live. But Home Groups meet for about an hour a week. Some only meet every other week. When you see that you are trading an hour or so of TV a week for a sense of community and a place to contribute of yourself, your question will not be, "How can I find the time?" but "How did I let so much time pass before joining?"

How can I join a Home Group?

It's easy! Find a Home Group that suits your schedule and location. In the lobby at church is a color-coded map to help you see where and when Home Groups meet. Then, just call a Home Group Pastor or Host for general information about the group, directions to their meeting place, and confirm their meeting time.

We feel confident you will find a Home Group that's just right for you. If you are unsure about which group might best meet your needs, or if you have any other questions about Home Groups at Church of the Apostles, please call the church office at 703-591-1974.
