News and Announcements

Testimonies of Healing This new page has a small selection of testimonies of physical healing that God has done for members of Church of the Apostles recently.

Lenten Blog The Discipleship team sponsored a church Lenten Blog, which was updated daily throughout the season. It featured reflections from COA members and staff as well as scriptures and quotations to ponder in preparation for the feast of the Resurrection. Here is the link to bookmark the blog. Now that we’re past Lent, the blog will lie fallow for a while, perhaps until Advent, but we’ll keep it up as a resource. If you’re new to the church, it may also give you a taste of what we’re all about.

From The Finance Committee It has come to the Finance Committee’s attention that our parishioners sometimes write designated checks earmarked for a particular individual. Unfortunately, such donations can not be considered as charitable tax deductions by the donor. Section 170 of the Federal Tax Code allows a charitable contribution deduction only with respect to donations to or for the use of charitable organizations. Contributions to an individual, however needy, are never tax deductible to the donor, since they can never be said to be to or for the use of a charitable organization. In light of this, going forward, if the church receives a designated check earmarked for a particular individual person, the COA Finance Office will provide you with three options. [details]

We're still working out a few kinks and will be adding more features in future, but you can listen to individual sermons at the Apostles Media Page and also subscribe to sermons as a podcast. The Media Ministry is looking for volunteers. See Gary if you're interested.
