The Healing Center at Church of the Apostles is a place where lives are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit through Biblical teaching and opportunities to encounter the living God. We offer conferences, seminars, individual inner healing sessions, and opportunities to soak in the presence of God. We also train others to minister. Our goal is to reach out to our neighbors and the world with the healing presence of God so all may come to know Him and become all they were meant to be.

Soaking Prayer

We were made to be in His presence! During soaking prayer we spend intimate time with Jesus, soaking in His presence. We learn how to experience more of God, by waiting on Him, resting in His presence, and becoming completely immersed in His amazing love. As you get filled up, God’s love will naturally overflow to those around you.

Theophostic Prayer Ministry

Theophostic Prayer Ministry is a divinely powered method of inner healing. During TPM we invite Jesus to identify the source of the pain, expose the lies, and reveal the truth—bringing healing to the memory. Theophostic Ministry Sessions

Individual Theophostic Prayer Ministry sessions are available by appointment. During the sessions you meet with two trained volunteers. For more information see the brochure in the church lobby on “Theophostic Prayer Ministry at COA.” For appointments, call the church office. 703-591-1974.

Classes

Listening for Heaven’s Sake

Listening for Heaven’s Sake is a fun, practical, interactive workshop from Equipping Ministries International that teaches you how to cultivate authentic relationships where trust and understanding naturally flourish— without burning out. LHS is the first class in EMI’s real relationship series and is a prerequisite for the other classes in the series. The class is offered twice a year in Winter in Summer.

Renewing the Mind

Renewing the Mind is a fun, practical and interactive workshop from Equipping Ministries International that teaches you how to think, feel and act more like Jesus. This class is a natural complement to Theophostic and is taught by an experienced TPM facilitator. RTM is the third class in EMI’s “real relationship” series; Listening for Heaven’s Sake is a prerequisite.

Speaking the Truth in Love

James 1:19 says, Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Learn practical skills for speaking the truth in love in a five-week interactive workshop from Equipping Ministries International. STL is the second class in EMI’s real relationship series; Listening for Heaven’s Sake is a prerequisite. The class is offered twice a year in Winter and Summer.

Confronting Conflict

Learn how to face tense situations and angry people in healthy life-giving ways in this one-day interactive workshop from Equipping Ministries International. In this class we will learn how to examine emotional triggers and relational habits that perpetuate conflict. We will also learn how to develop practical skills for gracefully resolving most conflicts.

Theophostic Facilitator Training

Learn how to facilitate TPM sessions in a safe, small-group environment by practicing on each other under the supervision of an experienced TPM facilitator. You must take the Basic Seminar first. Cujé’s Choice Cube Method

Learn how to come out of the shadows and into the light using Dr. Cujé’s step-by-step method to process wounds. Learn to see your life from God’s perspective. Learn to be aware of the tension in your body and how to release those physical and emotional tensions safely and effectively. Learn how to move beyond anything that is troubling you—in the present or past—no matter how traumatic or deeply rooted. This class is offered on seven evenings.

Generational Healing Ministry

Any ongoing patterns in an individual or family that are painful and frustrating—sickness, financial difficulty, abuse—usually indicate the need for Generational Healing Ministry. This is a time of prayer in which God reveals ancestral sins that have held family lines in bondage for generations. When a family member confesses these sins and receives the Lord’s forgiveness, the family line can be set free. Discover the power of God to heal your family tree and help you walk in wholeness.

Generational Healing Ministry Appointments: Individual Generational Healing Ministry appointments can be made by contacting Ann Weinheimer (via the church office). Prayer ministers work in teams of three or four, and sessions can last about three hours. All sessions are confidential. Afternoon and evening appointments are available.

Healing Center Mission Trips

Get involved in bringing healing ministries to other parts of the world by joining a Healing Center outreach. Right now we are focused on teaching Theophostic Prayer Ministry to Christians in Uganda and a country in western Asia.
