Prayer at Apostles
The power of prayer is both mysterious and misunderstood. What we do know and understand is that without prayer we are left with only our own limited strength, resources, and wisdom to accomplish mere human agendas. Prayer is a top priority at Church of the Apostles.
This section of the website highlights some of the ways we uphold and encourage lives supported by prayer.
Prayer Meetings
Regular Prayer - Weekdays
Tuesday: God’s Kingdom (One hour at 6:30am & 10:00am)
Prayer for the lost to be blessed and brought into God’s Kingdom
and for our communities, nations and world.
Prayer Chapel
We are blessed to have a dedicated Prayer Chapel for everyone's use. The Chapel is typically open weekdays from 9:00am-8:00pm. We have volunteers praying in the Chapel so that eventually we will have round-the-clock prayer coverage. For details and schedule information, or to volunteer to pray for one hour per week, call the church office and ask to be put in touch with our Prayer Chapel Coordinator. The Fathers Blessing
A weekly service (Fridays at 7.30 PM) of anointed praise and worship, encouraging testimonies and teachings, and powerful prayer ministry. Childcare is provided.
Prayer Rail
Trained prayer ministers are ready to pray with you during and after Communion at both weekend worship services.
Prayer Tree
Our confidential Prayer Tree is available to take your prayer requests and praise reports. Please see the Sunday bulletin for the phone number.
Tuesday Morning Prayer
This prayer group uses the Lords Prayer as a model to focus prayer on our families, our neighborhoods, our schools, our workplaces, and the government, as well as the church. It meets on Tuesday mornings in the Prayer Chapel at 10:00 AM.
Prayer Requests & Resources
Resources for Daily Personal Devotions Prayer and Bible reading are core to our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. They are the basis for our daily appointment with God, a time when he reveals himself to us and when we learn to be like him. It matters little what plan we use; it matters that we keep this appointment. [details]
Hurricane Disaster Relief The congregation of Church of the Apostles is praying for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Here are some ways we are trying to help tangibly, too—and how you can join in. [details]
