Sunday Morning Worship: December 3, 2023 | Advent Hope

Sermon Series: "O Come, Immanuel" Advent series

Today’s Sermon: "O Come, Great Lord of Israel"

Sermon Description: The word "advent" means "coming." The Advent season begins in a seemingly strange place: Not with Jesus' first coming (which we call 'Christmas'), but with His second coming (referred to in Scripture as "The Great Day of the Lord"). This Sunday, as we consider the certain return of the "great Lord of Israel," it is fitting to ask the question, "What is going on in Israel today?"

Scripture: Isaiah 64:1-9a; Psalm 80:1-7; Mark 13:24-37.

Sunday Morning Worship: November 19, 2023 | "Ye Shall Be As God!"

Sunday, November 19, 2023

Current Sermon Series: "BIG TECH - Christian Discernment in Today’s Technological Age"

Today’s Sermon: (Msg 6) "Ye Shall Be As God!" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

Sermon Description: As we conclude this teaching series, we'll look at another potential hazard that today's technology presents to us. Having access to the power to impersonate God (by knowing everything, and being everywhere at once) is quite alluring. This temptation is as ancient as the Garden of Eden, and the Serpent himself. However, what we truly need is not omnipotence...but Rest.

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-24; Psalm 126; John 1:19-30

Sunday Morning Worship: November 12, 2023 | "Enamored With My Own Image"

Sunday, November 12, 2023

Current Sermon Series: "BIG TECH - Christian Discernment in Today’s Technological Age"

Today’s Sermon: (Msg 5) "Enamored With My Own Image" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

Sermon Description: We love how technology gives us the ability to stay "connected" with others. However, there is also the potential for us to be sucked into the screen, and rather than being others-centered, turning in on ourselves. We become like that which we gaze upon. Rather than always looking at ourselves, Jesus calls us to lift up our eyes (John 4:35; Psalm 121:1), and look to Him and the people around us!

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:5-11; Psalm 70; Luke 12:8-21
