History
Founded in 1968 in the Anglican tradition of the worldwide Anglican Communion, Church of the Apostles is dedicated to upholding the authority and historical witness of Holy Scripture as the Word of God.
The three great streams of Christian tradition are represented in our worship services: the catholic, which experiences God through liturgy and sacrament; the evangelical, which upholds and proclaims Scripture; and the pentecostal, emphasizing the power, presence and gifts of the Holy Spirit in the context of freedom and high expectation.
Church of the Apostles is a member of the Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic (DOMA) within the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). We have strong relationships throughout the worldwide Anglican Communion, particularly in the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON).
