One could say that the story of the Bible is the story of God's relentless pursuit of a forever Bride. Marriage is God's creation; divinely ordained, and pregnant with meaning. In fact, it is the clearest picture we have of God's desired relation with us. Therefore, the Church must remain vigilant in seeking to understand, treasure, and protect the beautiful and mysterious institution of marriage.
