Advent Sermon Series: "ETERNITY"

On Sunday mornings during the season of Advent, we will be considering an important question. How would you live differently if you saw your life in the light of eternity? In other words, if you were conscious of the fact that you are not guaranteed tomorrow...and there is a life to come on the other side of the grave that you must prepare for... and you and those around you will spend Eternity either with the Creator or apart from Him...how would this affect the way you live your daily life?

Week 3: "Good Fruit Is Not Given To The Fire" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

During this Advent season, we have been asking ourselves how we would live differently if we saw our lives in the light of eternity. Sunday's Gospel reading takes us to the topic of repentance. John called his hearers to take some practical steps in amending their lives, while claiming their eternal destination is at stake. If hell was real, and some (many?!) were on their way there, how might it affect the way you live your daily life?

Scriptures: Zephaniah 3:14-20; Psalm 85; Luke 3:7-20

Week 2: "Kingdom Breakthrough" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

This Sunday's Gospel reading shows us how the Kingdom of God breaks into our world in surprising and disruptive ways that demand change. In what manner is God calling for change in your life?

Week 1: "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

The Advent season begins in an unexpected place, with Jesus describing the events that will immediately precede His Second Coming. And if we are being honest, it sounds pretty terrible. "People fainting with fear...of what is coming on the world" (Luke 21:26)?! No thank you. But while our instinct might be to duck and hide, Jesus tells us, "When these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads" (v. 28). How is this possible? It is dependent on where your heart (and treasure) resides.

Sermon: "The Vision of the Church is to Behold the Glory of King Jesus" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

It is a popular belief today that the reason the Church exists is to reach the lost. But is this true? Yes, Jesus tasked His followers with the Great Commission. However, the question must be asked if the Church's only value is connected to how effectively we fulfill this mandate. Pastor Nick makes the case that the Church has an even greater purpose, one that is too often overlooked.

Scriptures: Revelation 1:1-8; Psalm 93; John 18:33-37
