Throughout Jesus' public ministry, He upheld the dignity and value of the human race. In His baptism, Jesus declared that people are worth saving, even dying for. Sadly, we live in a world that in many ways diminishes the human person. To be a church that faithfully reflects Jesus to the world, we must boldly stand on the biblical truth that all human life is sacred in the eyes of God.

In other words, if you were conscious of the fact that you are not guaranteed tomorrow...and there is a life to come on the other side of the grave that you must prepare for... and you and those around you will spend Eternity either with the Creator or apart from Him...how would this affect the way you live your daily life?

Sometimes God turns our plans upside down, and life as we have known it changes completely. The hope of a joyful and peaceful future is often mingled with challenges, pain, and sorrow today. How can we remain trusting that God is good? Mary's response to the Angel Gabriel's announcement shows us that embracing Heaven's plan is always to "trade up."
